In China, a country of billions— a country where a single natural disaster can result in the loss of thousands or tens of thousands of lives, often bodies go unclaimed. And sometimes they end up face down in the Yellow River until they’re sold back to families who claim them. It’s not a great job, but I guess it pays the bills.
